You are probably wondering what is this new blog? My name is John-Michaël TO and I’m a French engineer interested in technologies since middle school. Like most engineers in France, I went through an engineering school and I always liked to build and create things by my own which I refer it to entrepreneurship. This is the reason behind the name of this blog: a combination of technologies and an entrepreneur mindset.
What am I going to share?
In this blog, I’m going to share some articles about technologies in general but it can go deeper times to times depending on the subject. I also want to use it as my own wiki.
In addition, some things about business, entrepreurship or even leadership.
Why using a French domain name?
In order to get familiar with the context, you are probably wondering why am I writing my blog in English with a domain name ending in .fr?
I initially acquire the domain name when I was in engineering school in France. With a friend, we wanted to make a blog about tech & entrepreneurship (exactly what I’m trying to do now!) but we simply got lazy and didn’t make it. Actually, we wanted to get the .com but it was already taken so since we are French, we just took a French domain name.
Since then, I have kept the domain name because I believe it is still a good word that represents myself; and to be honest, this domain name is kinda cool nowadays, because the word technopreneur kinda became a real word. Back in 2016, this word wasn’t so much present in Google though…
Why using English since I’m French?
French Tech is nice, seriously! But I’m actually living and working in China so I should maybe write in Chinese? Not really… I still believe that no matter what your mother tongue is, English is still way too important in the tech world especially when it comes to software development, wiki, online resources and technical terms.
